The position will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities and creating value in structuring development transactions. This high visibility role will be attractive to analytic, energetic, innovative, results-oriented individuals with quick and inquisitive minds. A strong candidate should possess a broad range of financial and commercial skills, be capable of managing the details of complex transactions, have the ability to work within a team-oriented environment in rapidly evolving markets, and be able to juggle multiple assignments. The employee exercises independent discretion and judgment within established policies, procedures, and practices. Key Accountabilities Responsible for deal management in all respects: leadership of broad cross functional teams to evaluate/close deals, negotiations of commercial agreements, internal approval process management, preparation of all presentations and ensure financial model robustness Drives own deal flow as appropriate Manages strategic deliverables for corporate initiatives as required (e.g., business plans, board presentations, etc.) Leads strategic analysis on key business issues and drives M&A opportunity identification andorigination. Performs all other related duties asassigned. Minimum Education & Experience Requirements A bachelor'sdegree in an engineering, business, or economics discipline (emphasis in finance a plus) with a minimum five years of experience with an independent energy company, or alternatively, a consulting firm or investment bank focused onenergy. Other Qualifications Preferred: A Master of Business Administration Possess a commercial background and be experienced in structuring transactions in the energy industry and in negotiations of the related commercial and financial agreements Broad range of financial and commercial skills, proven analytical ability to distill complex transactions into their essential elements, and proven track record in identifying value in acquisitions and crafting agreements that meet the objectives of all counterparties Excellent modeling skills and experienced in valuation methodologies and financial disciplines Other Requirements: Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to analyze and communicate complex transactions to senior management a must Ability to take initiative Ability to juggle multiple assignments Team player, ability to lead and/or work with large groups, and ability to influence others to getresults. Ability to travel asnecessary.
