We are a hybrid office, working together remotely and in the office; evening and weekend availability is required during our Spring and Fall festival seasons. More . POSITION DESCRIPTION The Corporate and Benefit Engagement Manager is an integral member of the development team who contributes to the creation and implementation of comprehensive fundraising initiatives for increased contributed income around corporate giving, board engagement and the annual gala. Major areas of responsibility include the management and growth of Chicago Humanities' corporate giving program, planning and producing the benefit, and assisting the Director of Development with Board engagement surrounding, but not limited to, these two critical fundraising initiatives. This role works closely with the Director of Development and is supported by the Development Administrator. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Corporate Relations Identify corporate prospects and conduct research to determine interest and giving potential Develop, manage and implement cultivation and solicitation strategies for corporate sponsorships Work directly with the marketing team to implement corporate sponsorship agreements Represent Chicago Humanities within Chicago's corporate and cultural communities Oversee Corporate Membership program, including stewardship of corporate benefits With Development Administrator, create and execute corporate cultivation events Collaborates with the Director of Development in preparing fiscal year budgets for corporate and benefit revenue, tracks progress towards goals. Other duties as assigned by the Director of Development. Collaborate with Development, Programming, and Production teams to produce and manage Chicago Humanities' annual Benefit each Fall, our largest fundraising opportunity of the year. Project manage event budgets, underwriting, sponsorship, table and/or ticket sales, RSVPs, in-kind contributions, manage vendors and production needs. Provide staff support for both the Governance and Nominating Committee and Development Committee of the Board of Directors Track board annual giving, including progress to call, creating timely written communications and mailings as necessary Responsible for timely preparation of necessary material including agendas, reports, action items and tracking systems KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES 2-3 years of progressive development experience in a multi-faceted development shop with exposure to corporate giving and event planning. Excellent project management, written and oral communication skills. Ability to maintain a high level of poise and professionalism in all circumstances. Ability to initiate and build relationships with prospective donors. Demonstrated ability to take primary responsibility for a diverse number of projects and to complete them on time with limited supervision. Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting. Knowledge of Raiser's Edge or a similar donor CRM Ability to work nights and weekends as needed. WORK LOCATION Chicago Humanities works in a hybrid model with Tuesdays and Thursdays required to be in person at our River North office while Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays allow the option to work remotely, exceptions might occur based on organizational and departmental needs. While working remotely, you will have access to a laptop computer and a $50 per month stipend to offset home internet and personal phone expenses. All full time positions at Chicago Humanities may require additional nights and weeks to support aspects of our in person events that take place across the city. COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS This is a full-time position with a starting salary of $65,000 based on qualifications and experience. Benefits include fully covered health insurance (with an option to upgrade), dental, vision, 403(b) with 7% employer match, equitable parental leave, tax-free commuter spending plan, life insurance, short and long-term disability, and 17 days of accrued paid time off. In addition, we offset busy seasons with additional office closures during the summer and a communal winter break (December 25 through New Year's Day). Chicago Humanities observes ten holidays, provides one floating holiday, and one day of Volunteer Time Off.
