Salary: $35,000.00 - $45,000.00 Annually Location : Glenville, WV Job Type: Non-classified Job Number: 0485P00081A Division: GSC Foundation Opening Date: 09/17/2024 Description This position is responsible for the Glenville State University Foundation's Annual Fund, coordinating Foundation events, and helping with the day-to-day office demands. The focus will be on building a year-round fundraising plan for the Annual Fund and putting this plan into motion through fundraising events and mailings. This person will also work to ensure the effective administration of annual fund gifts through acknowledgment letters, and the delivery of any necessary reports and communications. Examples of Duties Responsibilities Oversee activities to achieve annual fund goals set by the Executive Director of Foundation. Help support annual Day of Giving through annual fund initiatives Manage stewardship for all annual fund donors. Maintain consistent schedule of donor acknowledgment letters and outreach. Develop and implement new strategies for stewarding our annual fund donor population through events and mailings. Meet with Foundation Team to review upcoming meetings and events requiring meals/breaks and make the necessary arrangements including room reservations, work orders and room layouts, menu planning, and confirmation. Work with event contact person and track attendee counts for meal orders for both internal staff and guests. Supervise or create production collateral as needed: name badges, program materials, etc. Review the Foundation events calendar and work with staff to ensure program preparations are completed on time, paying close attention to events with quick setup turnarounds. Assist with the daily office duties: mail, answering phone, filing, etc. Perform other duties as assigned. Related Skills & Other Requirements Specialized knowledge in organizing and managing all logistical aspects of large meetings and/or special events Ability to keep the highest levels of confidentiality Foster and build good working relationships, both internally and externally - the ideal candidate must be able to work well with a variety of people Team player but can work independently. Skilled at managing projects with deadlines and details Previous experience with on-site event management including setup, registration, venue logistics, and audio/visual needs. Excellent oral and written communication skills, effective trouble-shooting skills, and good judgment. High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) is required. Previous work in academic or fundraising settings is a plus. Typical Qualifications A bachelor's degree preferably in business administration, communications, other similar fields, or relevant work experience.
