About the Opportunity DMI, LLC is seeking a full-time Systems Administrator / Network Support Engineer to support DMI's WMATA client in their transit operations: Network Architecture: Framework for the specification of a network's physical components and their functional organization and configuration, its operational principles, and procedures, as well as communication protocols used. Network Infrastructure Engineering: Design, Deploy, and Secure the network of an organization. The individual performs site surveys and audits to ensure that the organization's network site has the proper specifications. SCADA Cybersecurity Engineer: Crucial role in securing and maintaining the integrity of the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition systems. Managing the entire hardware & software lifecycle, from conception to completion. Network Innovation Solutions Engineer: Drives technological advancements within the network infrastructure. Duties and Responsibilities: Proficiency in Cisco Network Proficiency in Firewall Proficiency in Domain Controls Proficiency in HMI (Human-Machine Interface Proficiency in PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) Efficiency in Control Systems-Systems that control other systems. Efficiency in Process of Collecting Data for analysis and interpretation. Proficiency in Transmitters devices that send signals to a receiver. Efficiency in Logic Controllers-Computerized devices that control and monitor industrial processes. Proficiency in RTU (Remote Terminal Unit)-Remote Terminal Unit a device used for remote monitoring and control of equipment. Switches a device that can break an electrical circuit by interrupting the current or diverting it from one conductor to another. Server administration of Windows and Linux systems with a focus on the former. Advanced administration of Windows Active Directory, including trusts, functional levels, and migrations. Apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis and upgrade administrative tools and utilities. Configure / add new services as necessary. Monitor system/server resources including performance, capacity, availability, serviceability, and recoverability Ability to perform all aspects of systems and server administrations activities including performing server, installation of software, upgrading of software, configuration management and general system maintenance. Capacity to analyze and diagnose server problems and recommend corrective measures. Experience interfacing with vendors to resolve system configurations, problems, and other issues. Understanding of network and server design/implementation and ability to suggest modifications for the purpose of improving performance and reliability. Ability to record all relevant design and implementation diagrams, schemas and documents clearly and succinctly. Experience in hardware, software, and communication products/services acquisition Experience with Agile SCRUM / Kanban methodology, ceremonies and artifacts. Manages vulnerability reports and remediates as required Develops and submits change requests and tracks to completion for software upgrades and patches. Experience installing SSL certificates on Windows Qualifications Education and Years of Experience: Minimum of bachelor's degree in computer-related field. 5-7 years of experience. Experience can be substituted for degree when demonstrated through a strong portfolio of completed projects in combination with verifiable certifications (i.e., Microsoft, Cisco, ASA, Palo Alto examples). Required and Desired Skills/Certifications: Desired Skills: Working experience of Enterprise Administration on Microsoft Stack Hands-on experience with VMware-VSphere Proven written and verbal communication skills Working Knowledge of Basic Linux and Unix servers (command line) Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Servers Additional Requirements (OPTIONAL): Certified OpenStack Administrator, Cisco Certified Design Expert, CCNA, CompTIA ITF+, CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, Data Center Design Consultant, ITCA Networks and Infrastructure Fundamentals, and Microsoft Technology Associate IT Location : This position requires the person to report to this primary location: 2401 Mill Road, Alexandria VA. 22314 . There may also be a need to work at these additional locations: Primary Washington, DC: 300 7th Street, SW, Washington, D.C. 20024. Secondary New Carrolton, MD: 4100 Garden City Dr, Hyattsville, MD 20785. Other WMATA facility (in the Metro DC area) that a COTR may specify.
