About the Role: Aquila is seeking a Software Engineer to join our team in supporting one of the country's premier defense research organizations. The Software Engineer will help the Bioanalytics Systems and Technologies Group is in search of an innovative and highly motivated senior software engineer. The Group focuses on driving analytics to take advantage of vast and rapidly expanding biological datasets to address national security needs. There are a few requirements for the position: Must be a U.S Citizen (Green Cards / Visas do not qualify) Willingness to undergo a comprehensive background investigation and maintain a personal security clearance. (Aquila would sponsor you for the security clearance.) Must be within commutable distance of Lexington, Massachusetts. Responsibilities: Full lifecycle application development. Designing, coding and debugging applications in various software languages. Software analysis, code analysis, requirements analysis, software review, identification of code metrics, system risk analysis, software reliability analysis. Object-oriented Design and Analysis (OOA and OOD). Software modeling and simulation. Front end graphical user interface design. Software testing and quality assurance. Performance tuning, improvement, balancing, usability, automation. Supports, maintains and documents software functionality. Integrates software with existing systems. Evaluates and identifies new technologies for implementation. Maintains standards compliance. Implements localization or globalization of software What You'll Bring: Object Oriented Software Design Development Life-cycle knowledge Experience in an agile operating model? Strong Software Engineering experience? Excellent communications (written and oral) skills Good interpersonal skills Master's degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
