SAE Behavioral Health Consultants (SAE) is seeking a Financial Analyst with experience in behavioral healthcare budgeting and revenue modeling. We are a behavioral health consulting firm based in Manhattan, NY that provides nationwide consulting services to non-profit organizations in the social services and health care field. Summary of Consultation The Consultant will conduct a financial analysis, prepare reports, and make recommendations to maximize the use of funds for the improvement of Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) participant health. Consultant will also provide ongoing advice and evaluation for the planning, implementation, monitoring, and adjusting of the chosen CCBHC Payment Program Access (PPS) model. Responsibilities Conduct review and analysis of financial information (e.g. revenues, expenditures, cost projections, insurance, fiscal modeling etc.) Prepare and/or review of CCBHC Cost Reports, budgets and related reports as detailed in the individual project scope of work. Recommend improvements of financial status by supporting the establishment of, and analyzing, PPS results, monitoring variances, and identifying trends, and recommending actions to management. Present clear and pertinent financial analysis to key stakeholders including executive management and other staff. Requirements and Skills A master's degree with a major in accounting, finance or business administration. Five-to-ten years of positions of increasing responsibility in fiscal management or administration with an emphasis in financial systems, management information, and controls in supervisory, administrative, or management capacities, with recent experience and awareness of regulatory changes and requirements. Knowledge of total accounting and financial management both in systems theory and practice. Experience with auditing and billing compliance reviews and trend analysis with outpatient treatment services clinics, behavioral mental health clinics, and care management practice. Experience with working with CCBHC clinics and understanding of health care billing and policies affecting behavioral health provider revenue. Familiarity with the behavioral health provider/government ecosystem, including CCBHCs and FQHCs. Ability to work collaboratively with executive and other staff to realize project goals. Ability to clearly draft financial analyses and present results to a variety of audiences, including senior management and individuals who may not feel comfortable with financial analyses. Compensation For the purposes of this job posting, a minimum rate of $50,000 was applied. Please note that all compensation is contract-based and is variable and dependent on both the specific need per client and successfully executed contracts per client.
