Job Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced Power Electronics Manager with a strong background in power systems and a proven track record of working on Navy projects or contracts. The Power Electronics Manager will lead a team of engineers in designing, developing, and implementing power electronics systems and components for naval applications, ensuring they meet the highest standards of performance, reliability, and compliance with military specifications. Potential hybrid 1-2 days remote per week after 90 days. Responsibilities: Lead and manage the power electronics engineering team, overseeing the design, development, and implementation of advanced power electronics systems for naval applications. Provide technical leadership and direction on power conversion technologies, including DC-DC converters, AC-DC converters, inverters, and energy storage systems. Ensure detailed analysis and simulation of power systems are conducted to optimize performance, efficiency, and reliability. Develop and oversee the implementation of control algorithms for power electronics systems. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate power electronics systems into larger naval platforms and systems. Ensure thorough testing and validation of power electronics components and systems to meet military standards and specifications. Prepare and review technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and reports. Mentor and develop junior engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. Stay updated with the latest advancements in power electronics and related technologies. Ensure all projects adhere to Navy requirements, including MIL-STD-1399, MIL-STD-461, and MIL-STD-810. Participate in and lead design reviews, project planning, and risk assessments. Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful project delivery. $120,000 - $140,000 a year
