Check out this video for more information on our great company! Location Description: The Boston Harbor Hotel is Bostons premier waterfront hotel, where luxury service is personal. All candidates must display superior service orientation, be willing to learn and work as part of our team. Due to the nature of our business, schedule flexibility is required for all positions. Overview: Overview: This role acts as a supervisor for the receiving, documenting and storage process and procedures outlined in the hotels policies and procedures documents, ensuring accurate product pricing, rotating of items, appropriate inventory levels based on business need, and storage area cleanliness and overall organization. Key Responsibilities: Act as a team leader of Storeroom Clerks to ensure that the storerooms run smoothly, safely and efficiently. Review all incoming goods against bill of lading and invoices, food specifications and purchase orders to ensure that the type, amount, price and quality of items charged and delivered ordered are accurate, while then conducting a sanitary, secure, and organized storage of all items. Transfer, store, and rotate all incoming goods for the hotel, while maintaining an appropriate inventory level of items and on hand quantities in accordance with business needs in collaboration with hotel leadership. Control and reviews purchase of non-food merchandise through effective purchase order system, including a competitive bidding process. Maintain secure storage areas through controlled issue hours, requisition, and key control. Conduct quality control audits to ensure staff are properly trained and following established procedures. Maintain updated contact list with business partners and product and pricing information. Participate and lead monthly inventory processes for the hotel. Other tasks and projects as assigned by Director of Purchasing. Qualifications: Qualifications: Prior warehouse experience of at least one year required. Previous experience in a procurement environment is desirable but not required. Previous experience in Food & Beverage is preferred. Must have working knowledge of computers. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook, Word and Excel is a plus.
