Summary : Under general supervision by a radiation oncologist, medical physicist, or department manager, performs a variety of technical procedures within the radiation oncology department. Performs CT simulations and delivers therapeutic radiation as prescribed by the radiation oncologist. Formal Education Required : a. Graduate of an accredited radiation therapy program Experience & Training Required : a. Certified in radiation therapy by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) b. Current state license for radiation therapy from the Ohio Department of Health c. Current BLS/CPR certification from The American Heart Association Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications: a. Knowledge of various radiation therapy treatment modalities (3D, VMAT, SRS, SBRT, HDR, SRT) b. Understanding of radiation safety standards and best practices c. Interpersonal skills d. Critical thinking e. Detail oriented f. Understanding of proper patient lifting techniques Level of Physical Demands: a. Ability to stand, walk, and crouch throughout the day b. Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50lbs $38.30/hr - $45.96/hr The salary range on this job posting/advertising is base salary exclusive of any bonuses or differentials. Many factors, such as years of relevant experience and geographical location are considered when determining the starting rate of pay. We believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members when determining offers. Please keep in mind that the range that is listed is the full base salary range. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical.
