Requisition Number: 18424 Required Travel: 0 - 10% Employment Type: Full Time/Salaried/Exempt Hours Per Week: 40 Security Clearance: Secret Level of Experience: Mid Job Description Contribute as a member of the US Air Force Anti-Tamper Evaluation Team and influence the hardware and software security architectures for multi-billion dollar Air Force and DoD acquisition programs, ensuring our nation's most critical capabilities are protected from global reverse engineering threats. Work alongside senior technical staff and our US Government customer to identify weaknesses and vulnerabilities in the security implementations of weapon systems and sensors and report formalized risk assessments and technical recommendations to senior DoD decision makers. Participate in formalized test activities to verify correctness of final anti-tamper implementations and ensure that vulnerabilities have not been inadvertently introduced. Develop a deep knowledge of state of the art hardware and software security technologies and techniques and participate in educational opportunities via conferences (e.g. HOST, CHES, ISTFA) and government sponsored training in cryptography and reverse engineering. Essential Job Responsibilities Review engineering design documents for anti-tamper solutions (e.g. Anti-Tamper Plans) and conduct vulnerability analysis of system level anti-tamper architectures Author technical reports to document vulnerabilities of proposed anti-tamper solutions and provide technical recommendations for key DoD acquisition decision makers Support technical interchange meetings and program reviews with US Air Force and DoD program offices and weapon system and sensor developers, and provide real time feedback to help achieve acceptable anti-tamper implementations Author written feedback for US Air Force and DoD program offices and weapon system and sensor developers to document identified weaknesses and vulnerabilities of an anti-tamper solutions Remain knowledgeable on the protection technologies, techniques and devices used to prevent exploitation of U.S. systems and technologies Remain knowledgeable on the latest reverse engineering threats and attack techniques Participate in verification tests of anti-tamper implementations Support DoD anti-tamper working groups 25% to 40% travel required Minimum Qualifications B.S. (M.S. preferred) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering or other related engineering disciplines 5+ years of engineering experience, to include systems engineering, electronic design, software development, system integration and/or test and failure analysis Working knowledge of modern electronic components, to include microprocessors, FPGAs, and ASIC technologies Proficient technical writing skills to generate technical documents and presentations Good verbal communication skills, comfortable interacting with technical peers and the ability to work as part of a team required Good analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills Minimum Secret clearance required to start Must be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI w/ enhanced security checks Preferred Requirements Experience with DoD sensor and weapon system engineering and development desired Hardware and/or software reverse engineering experience is a plus Experience with Defensive Cyber technologies and techniques is a plus Physical Requirements Office, industrial or shipboard environment. Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances. Lifting and moving of materials not to exceed the guidelines set for one man lift.
