TSC is seeking a Business Development Manager to support our Defense & Space Systems (DSS) Division, focusing on business expansion activities and business capture. This entails traditional business development, capture management, developing and growing relationships with current and new customers, and participation in the proposal development process. The successful candidate will identify key areas to focus on strategic growth, opportunity shaping, and capture. They will support programs and pursuits in line with DSS's technology areas: precision weapons solutions, radar and fire control systems and modeling, multi-intelligence analytic and engineering support, space systems, active and passive surveillance software and hardware, intelligence community activities, counter-UAS, position, navigation, and timing (PNT), machine learning/artificial intelligence (ML/AI) and multi-domain solutions. The BDL will also support program expansion and securing new contract vehicles while bringing in key programs in target DSS market areas. They will have the responsibility for supporting and leading business capture efforts and winning new opportunities. The BDL will travel to meet with customers and TSC personnel in primary areas of operation to include the National Capital Region and Huntsville, AL but could be located remotely. The BDL will interface directly with corporate executives, P&L managers, program managers, team leaders, and customers to ensure contract requirements are fulfilled and strategies executed. The BDL will provide leadership through building partnerships internally with various stake holders and identifying and engaging outside organizations critical to growing DSS and TSC. Following established capture processes, they will support regular business development and opportunity reviews, develop and track customer engagement action items, develop win themes, execute capture strategies, and lead customer visits and communication throughout the full proposal and program life cycle. Responsibilities: Support TSC's DSS Division in expanding into new work, customers, and P&L growth. Leverage expertise and relationships to identify and pursue new opportunities. Proactively engage customers through white papers and presentations to influence RFPs and grow relationships. Develop concepts showcasing TSC's capabilities to meet new customer needs and lead opportunity capture. Support the capture process, from customer identification to proposal development. Track new programs, build partnerships with government/contractor leadership, and schedule key meetings. Independently identify opportunities, craft technical white papers, and create new business. Utilize expertise to craft proposals with minimal oversight. Work with stakeholders to analyze RFPs and develop tailored responses. Understand TSC/DSS services and lead program growth strategies. Cultivate and sustain key government and industry partnerships. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in engineering, Aeronautics, or related technical discipline required plus 8-10 years experience of related experience working with government or industry customers and a demonstrated track record of internal or external business creation efforts within the Federal Government marketplace. US Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance Knowledge of the Space, Intelligence Community, EW, ISR and SIGINT solutions market as well as knowledge of the competitive landscape. Desired Qualifications: Expertise or background in space systems, intelligence community activities, RF/microwave technologies, integrated defense electronics, and/or product development. Proven success in collaborating with cross-functional teams across multiple locations to achieve both program and organizational goals. Skilled in identifying and securing meetings with key customers and stakeholders within targeted markets and technologies. Adept at proactively engaging clients, delivering value through white papers, presentations, and other resources to influence RFPs and strengthen customer relationships. Excellent research skills and the ability to effectively gather information needed from files, team members, and senior staff members. A strong history of connecting decision-makers with technical experts and tailored solutions to address their specific needs. Master's degree in engineering, Aeronautics, or related technical discipline required. Demonstrated capture experience with Intelligence Community, Navy R&D, and/or Space R&D customers.
