STV currently has openings for Quality Manager in the Transportation group in Boston. Position Description The primary duties of the Quality Manager include responsibility for implementing, coordinating, training, and administering STV Quality Management System (QMS) requirements within the Transportation Division and across all disciplines: Civil, Structures, Rail, Planning and Construction Management Oversight. The selected candidate will provide leadership and direction regarding all quality initiatives related to projects and operating protocols and report directly to the Area Manager. Candidate will recommend quality strategies, policies, practice guides and procedures by evaluating the needs of the office organization. The standard qualities they possess include: Responsibilities include the following: Partner with the Transportation Leadership and all Disciplines in successfully developing, implementing, and maintaining the Quality Program and in managing project risks with all Discipline Leads. Monitor the effectiveness of the Quality Program implementation through project audits, surveillances, and project meetings. Verify all relevant project records are maintained in accordance with the STV "Record Management & Project Filing" Program. Work with the Area Manager, Project Managers, and project team members to assist with performance monitoring of all project reviews. Perform verification and validation reviews of submittals in accordance with STV standard procedures. Assure documentation compliance and Technical Review Verification form for each QA review. Serve as initial point of contact for all quality-related questions and issues and assist PMs with creation of Project Quality Plan (PQP), and Project Manual. Provide QMS onboard training, communicate the PQP to the Project Team members and provide training as necessary including those in supporting STV offices and subconsultants. Conduct ongoing employee training and awareness activities such as: issuing regular quality tips, instructions, updates obtained from corporate quality. Attend project meetings and serve as Quality Assurance Manager on large or critical projects when needed. Participate in project audit schedules, perform internal and external auditing and issue corrective actions and monitor compliance with all CARs as applicable. Identify areas of improvement through ongoing internal project audits and reviews and collaboration with other Quality Managers. Advise employees to assure the resolution of QA issues. Work with marketing and management on proposal development. Required Skills: Four (4) year degree in engineering, architecture, construction management or a related field. Commitment to be an active participant of our Boston office. Strong organizational, writing, tracking and communication skills. Ability to prioritize and handle challenges on an independent basis. Ability to perform in a time driven environment. Capability to manage competing demands on multiple client projects simultaneously. Ability to work with a wide range of applications and staff, both internal to Transportation (across all offices) as well as with external stakeholders. Must be able to fulfill essential job functions in a consistent state of alertness and safe manner. 10+ years overall experience is preferred with experience in applying and creating quality procedures to technical work processes and work products. Preferred Skills: Registration in New England states, with ability to obtain Massachusetts registration. Quality certifications including American Society of Quality (ASQ), NETTCP QA Technologist, and/or ISO. Knowledge of quality standards for local agencies such as MassDOT and MBTA. Knowledge of FRA and FTA Quality Standards. Compensation Range: $102,974.00 - $137,299.00 Don't meet every single requirement?
