Regional Sales Managers work to implement the growth and market share of our corporate products by promoting, selling, supporting, and evaluating these products within a given territory. The Regional Sales Managers will continue to develop equipment dealers within their territory and provide training, assistance, and support. The position will assist in developing a strategy and executing to the strategy to meet sales projections and goals. The primary focus of this individual would be promoting wet processing equipment for the mining industry within North America.It is expected that this candidate has an extensive knowledge in mineral processing, particularly in particle classification, tailings, water recovery and filtration. Essential Functions/Key Accountabilities: Follow direction provided by Director of Sales. Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to, and enforcing, all safety procedures and policies inside and outside the facility, including use of personal protective and McLanahan equipment as required. Represent McLanahan Corporation in a positive manner both internally and externally (customers, trade shows, conferences, etc.) while adhering to the organizations core values. Communicate effectively with co-workers, management, customers, and others in a courteous and professional manner. Develop, maintain, and improve network of sales representatives within assigned territories. Assist customers with proper selection of equipment by analyzing application and customers desired end-result. Maintain appropriate contact with customers and potential customers. Provide post-sales support to customers as requested or on an as-needed basis. Arrange and attend relevant trade shows and other events within territory or as needed in others and promote McLanahan Corporation equipment. Meet established sales goals within territory of responsibility. Work with Project Managers and Engineering personnel to ensure proper communication between customer and corporation. Follow-up, via self or through direct reports, on sales leads. Prepare quotes to major customers. Significant travel domestically and internationally (50-70%) to customer sites, trade shows, and other destinations. Develop and deliver sales presentations, including use of MS PowerPoint. Develop and deliver product training for representatives. Compose letters, quotations, and other related documents required for sales. Coordinate or perform material testing. Prepare reports on same. Maintain/increase knowledge of industry through research and other means. Participate in continuous improvement activities as requested. Attend meetings as needed to ensure open communication and provide status on projects. Education/Qualifications/Experience: Three (3) five (5) years of experience. Bachelor of Science (or equivalent) in Business or related field. Prior experience working in a Lean/ISO environment Competencies/ Knowledge/Attributes: Computer literacy including MS Office applications. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Ability to successfully reach company goals in an environment in which a wide degree of creativity and latitude is required. The position requires ambulatory skills sufficient to travel domestically and internationally. Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp, visual acuity to use a keyboard. Requires the ability to express or exchange ideas by means of both verbal and written communication. Requires the ability to manipulate 10 - 50 pounds on a regular basis (lift, carry, move, etc.).
