We are seeking to hire a bright and highly motivated Account Manager to execute the sales objectives, policies and programs under the direction of the Vice President of Sales, in accordance with the overall corporate objectives. Responsibilities Pursue customer and prospect business relationships within assigned territory/accounts that will achieve sales goals and strengthen relations. Achieve annual sales objectives under the direction of sales management in accordance with the overall corporate objectives. Ability to consistently offer well reasoned input in pricing efforts for key accounts and territories. Participate in sales planning, pricing, and selling strategies that will maximize overall gross margins for the company. Participate in trade shows, conferences, and expositions, as required. Plan and execute sales trips that will best utilize time to accomplish approved goals. Knowledgeable in company's sales practices by keeping current on technical and market developments. Stay abreast of competitive products, services, and selling strategies. Recommend specific objectives and priorities for the territory assigned, e.g., target account/industries, time and travel priorities, marketing strategy, etc. Pursue target accounts/industries following approved priorities. Must possess extensive knowledge of the company's main competitors within the assigned territories. Work from knowledge of packing techniques and Company capabilities to design packaging solutions. Assist customers in overall design and recommend packing methods that will optimize profits and use of Company products. Possess extensive knowledge of company's quality programs, products, manufacturing capabilities, testing capabilities and competitive products; plus, a comprehensive knowledge of sales, production, and cost estimating procedures. Prepare essential reports including itineraries, sales notes, competitive activity, expense reports and mileage reports on a timely basis. Document system changes and continuous improvements. Qualifications Associate degree (AA/AAS) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, plus, four or more years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
