SUMMARY Serves at-risk-youth between, between the ages of 9-18 who are at risk of abuse or neglect, have been abused or neglected, have serious emotional, mental or behavioral disturbances which can include problem sexual behavior, and are involved in the juvenile justice system. In partnership with MHYs contract psychiatric services, affords residents with individual counseling, group counseling, and supports residents with family counseling. The candidate must be able to work some flexible hours, including evenings and weekends. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Other duties may be assigned. Maintains a caseload of children and their families as assigned by the supervisor, in accordance with State and County regulations. Provides home-based sessions with clients and families as scheduled. Completes all documentation within one week of its reporting period. Documentation includes but is not be limited to: ISPs, ISP Reviews, ISP Addendums, consent forms, psychosocial evaluations, PCP letters, and release of information authorizations. Conducts individual therapy sessions for clients as required. Documents therapy progress notes during sessions, reflecting treatment goals; obtains resident signature, as appropriate. Applies the reasonable and prudent parent standard to decisions involving the participation of a child in age or developmentally-appropriate activities. Prepares for group therapy sessions as scheduled, including the completion of appropriate research and utilization of group materials. Facilitates group therapy session including the documentation of group notes for each resident, reflecting treatment goals. Supports and ensures the delivery of treatment recommendations as set forth by the psychiatrist and treatment team. Completes referrals as needed for outside providers and submit to appropriate provider. Completes documentation as necessary for State, County and managed care audits within one week, including the appropriate correction of any errors and completion of paperwork Collaborates with all referral sources. Attends group and team meetings as required. Has a concrete knowledge of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Trauma-Informed Care as applied to high risk groups. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position may at times be responsible for assisting with the supervision of interns. Qualifications EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Related Masters degree, and demonstrated experience in youth direct care services required. Must be 21 years of age with current Act 33, 34 and FBI Clearances. Current PA state drivers license with an insurable driving record required. Must possess demonstrated PC skills including common MS Office applications. PA licensure preferred. Additional training or licensing as required by regulations, or as deemed necessary by the Executive Director or Director.
