As the COO, you will ensure we are operating effectively and efficiently to achieve the company's goals while taking direct responsibility for operations. You'll bring exceptional visionary and leadership traits, a continuous improvement mindset and a genuine entrepreneurial spirit. This role will have direct involvement with all aspects of the day-to-day business. You will be a strategic thinker and tactical implementer, a true partner to the business who is unafraid to offer input on broad business initiatives. How We'll Be Winning Together •Oversee company operations and team member productivity, building a highly inclusive culture ensuring team members thrive and organizational outcomes are met •Daily focus on company objectives to measure the most optimal way for the entire team to invest their time, resolve inevitable blockers, and provide guidance as needed •You build clear, structured processes and hold yourself and others accountable to them •You still roll up your sleeves to build, and you drive initiatives from ideation through to completion •Act as first line to deliver any core insights or points of information from team to CEO that CEO needs to drive decisions around the business, work internally and externally with stakeholders to get necessary information •Attract, manage, and mentor a passionate team; support team members as they expand their capabilities and consult with internal stakeholders •Define team roles, accountabilities, and decision-making •Promote an organizational culture of excellence, adaptability, efficiency, continuous improvement, and innovation •Lead and drive innovations in technology and operations that support our programs, with talented people and aligned processes/structure in place to deliver •Ensure that the Governing Board's strategy is tangibly linked to departmental efforts; track and adjust time and resource allocations to maintain alignment with goals and to operate within budget •Establish a "world-class" IT team that uses modern IT technologies to streamline business operations and leverages technology as an enabler of growth and program delivery •Clarify the strategic prioritization of, and seek to continually enhance, cross-organizational initiatives that engage finance, technology, contracts, operations, risk, and compliance •Manage and evolve internal risk and compliance systems and procedures •Maintain compliance with all laws, rule, and regulations in all communities •Produce and analyze reports on business data to determine operational excellence and areas for improvement Requirements We Should Talk If This Sounds Like You •Bachelor's degree in healthcare management, business or similar discipline; master's degree in business administration or a closely related discipline preferred •A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience and a minimum of five years serving as the COO and relevant experience in each of the functional areas listed above •Expertise in defining and scaling operational processes, both internally and with external partners •Leadership - proven ability to grow, lead and manage teams •Excellent people skills, with an ability to partner with leadership •Strategically focused on goal execution and overcoming roadblocks •Proven ability to drive business development opportunities •Extraordinary project management skills and organization •Prior senior living experience preferred Location •Bloomington, Illinois Inclusive Excellence Westminster Village is committed to being a place where all are valued, respected and welcome.
