Position Summary: Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Sr Accountant provides support in matters relating to overall company accounting functions. The Sr Accountant role is a full-time Hybrid or Remote position. What We Offer: Annual salary ranges from $65-90,000 per year based on experience Annual bonus opportunity 3 weeks' vacation to start, increasing with tenure Competitive benefits package Amazing work culture Job Responsibilities: Prepares financial statements and supporting schedules according to the monthly close schedule Monitors the team's progress in the completion of month-end close Review and approve physical inventory reconciliations Develop and maintain the process of RBS3 Physical inventory review and generation Perform Peer reviews of account reconciliations Participate in the training of new and current team members Facilitates and completes month-end close procedures Assists in analyzing financial statements and reports on variances Identifies and corrects discrepancies Assists in developing budgets Provides support before and during audits Prepares and enters journal entries Assist in the merger and acquisition of financial migration activities Partner with business units on projects and specific initiatives Operates in compliance with all local, state, and Federal laws as well as Company policy and compliance standards Other duties and responsibilities as assigned Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: 5-7 years' experience in Accounting or Finance Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance Highly proficient with Microsoft Excel including VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and logical analysis statements to aid in analyzing data Microsoft Navision, Sycle, and Cognos experience preferred Hearing healthcare and multiunit retail industry experience, preferred Demonstrated leadership skills with an ability to motivate and influence others and work in a changing environment, Proven ability and skill in managing operations including staff and budgets Strong sense of client service and team player who can foster teamwork and consensus with all levels of the organization Strong communicator with excellent proven interpersonal, presentation and writing skills Excellent financial and general analytical abilities Knowledge and understanding of accepted accounting rules, practices, laws, and reporting requirements Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to obtain necessary financial information from non-financial individuals Ability to document processes and procedures Proven ability to consistently meet deadlines Ability to handle multiple, concurrent projects Sonova is an equal opportunity employer.
