Senior Software Engineer II Design, develop, and maintain software code and frameworks for workplace collaboration products and services, under limited supervision. Participate in the full software development life cycle, including product design, implementation, and operational support. Develop modular, maintainable front-end and/or back-end software components. Work on all phases of quality assurance and defect resolution with a focus on test automation and code coverage. Design and develop software utilizing high-level programming languages and software tools and technologies. Maintain a high level of operational excellence focusing on application and infrastructure scalability, and performance. Position may include additional duties that utilize the required skills. Telecommuting permitted up to 100% from any Smartsheet registered location in the U.S. Requires a Master's or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field, and three years of experience in: designing and developing software utilizing high-level, object-oriented programming languages, including Java and Ruby; designing and developing user interfaces for web-based applications using HTML, CSS, React, and Redux; gathering and identifying business requirements to develop technical solutions that meet customer and stakeholder expectations; and producing design documents, writing code, building code, writing test cases and performing unit and integration testing for developing software components using Visual Studio Code, Node.js, Typescript and Jest.
