The Opportunity: The Operational Due Diligence team is looking for an Analyst to join their Team in our Suburban Philadelphia, PA office. The Operational Due Diligence team at Hamilton Lane performs comprehensive operational and back-office reviews of private market investment managers that the firm is considering for its client portfolios. In this role, you will play an integral role in ongoing due diligence, risk mitigation, and monitoring of investment managers, including ensuring compliance with industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and limited partnership agreements. You will be instrumental in helping to continue building out the function and enhancing the group's various approaches to assessing and monitoring. Your responsibilities will be to: Perform initial and ongoing operational due diligence reviews of private equity investment managers Evaluate the overall quality of private equity investment managers' organization, accounting/valuation, regulatory compliance, and infrastructure to identify issues relevant to Hamilton Lanes' overall investment decisions Prepare and conduct in-depth, on-site due diligence meetings with senior management (e.g., CFOs, COOs, CCOs, and other support staff) of private equity managers to further evaluate operational-related risks Prepare comprehensive written reports containing information and analysis related to the operational environment of potential investments Perform ongoing monitoring of investments, including analyzing private equity fund audited financial statements, investment activity reports, Form ADV filings, and other publicly available information Keeping informed of market developments, industry trends, and regulatory matters that could impact private equity managers Developing market intelligence and industry best practices by liaising with private equity fund managers, fund administrators, and auditors to identify possible process enhancement Work within a collaborative team structure to ensure accuracy and timely delivery of operational due diligence reports Your background will include: Bachelor's Degree 1-5 years of experience; title commensurate with experience Knowledge of the private equity, hedge fund, and asset management industry Experience working in the finance, accounting, or financial service industry CPA, CAIA, and/or CFA (or working towards obtaining) a plus Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to communicate effectively with senior-level management Detail-oriented, organized, and strong analytical skills Interest and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point) Flexibility to travel up to 5% Benefits At Hamilton Lane, our benefits philosophy is simple.
