Description AWS is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join the Relational Database Service (RDS) team! This role will provide critical analytical support to one of AWS's largest and most strategic businesses. Key job responsibilities Own existing reporting suite, identifying and implementing procedural improvements Solve ad-hoc business problems through financial analysis and modeling Invent new reporting to drive continual financial and business improvement Deep dive data quality issues as needed to improve operational quality Basic Qualifications 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science), or Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards) Preferred Qualifications MBA, or CPA Experience in financial modeling, P&L management or analysis 4+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. The base pay for this position ranges from $60,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
