Accounting Intern (Spring 2025, Part-time)

With hundreds of clients throughout the U.S., we deliver comprehensive online and mobile solutions that support banks and credit unions, ranging from small community financial institutions to new, innovative direct banks. Summary: Assisting with research, filing, data maintenance, recording and maintaining accurate and complete financial records. Performing account reconciliations and other administrative tasks as required. The internship will be for the Spring 2025 semester with the opportunity for extension well beyond that. Location (Wilmington, NC / Remote): We have offices in Wilmington, NC and Austin, TX and while some positions are office based, we will also consider remote candidates in our preferred time zones of CST/EST. Responsibilities: Assist with month-end financial reports Draft journal entries Help with accounts receivable and accounts payable Reconcile balance sheet accounts, such as cash, prepaid expenses, fixed assets and sales tax Requirements: Currently pursuing a business degree, with concentrations in accounting, finance, and/or economics Proficient in the Microsoft Suite of products, specifically Microsoft Excel Basic understanding of financial and accounting practices Detail oriented and accountable Ability to multitask Excellent interpersonal skills Sound judgment Can function as a member of a team Perform other duties as required
