The Brass Ranch River Run Assistant Manager supervises 3-20 employees at any time in the retail store and carries out supervisory responsibilities following the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include but are not limited to frequent and detailed work reviews, training, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems. This position communicates with the Brass Ranch Brand Manager daily regarding employee issues, floor needs and customer issues. This position is hourly plus commission. Duties & Responsibilities: Promote a professional, positive, and encouraging work atmosphere. Listen to and resolve customer complaints to maintain, restore and promote good public relations. Sell alongside the sales team, contribute to the daily sales and motivate the sales team. Counsel and coach team members when policies are broken and issues arise Communicate effectively. Communicate all employees' issues to the Brass Ranch Brand Manager Communicate to employees the expectations of inventory control, customer interactions, product knowledge, department policies and resort knowledge Communicate with the Brass Ranch Brand Manager regarding merchandise requests, sizing, low inventories, or problems Communicate all health and safety standards and practices regarding job safety, first aid, AEDs, OSHA compliance and mountain safety Train all new employees in-store and company policies and establish best sales practices Monitor Inventory levels and stock regularly Maintain a monthly schedule and monitor daily and hourly labor according to business flow Handle customer product returns by following the Brass Ranch store policies Work closely with the Brass Ranch Brand Manager to merchandise the store consistently and to optimize selling with the expectation that the store will always be organized, visually pleasing, and clean and that all necessary merchandise is represented. Follow Brass Ranch's merchandising policy Handle administrative work, including sales promotions and Kronos; attend all workshops and training sessions; prepare and attend all store inventories; attend resort huddles; complete payroll; onboard new hires; manage all return authorizations Qualifications: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.Ability to write simple correspondence.Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Retail Point of Sale software experience preferable. This role involves a certain level of physical activity. The employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus. The employee is regularly exposed to high, precarious places. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet
