Audit Manager - Local Government Location: Fargo, ND Salary Range: $8,000 - $9,000 monthly Summary of Work We are looking for an Audit Manager for our local government team. What are we looking for? This job is ideal for those who have responsibilities and hobbies outside of the office. Our work weeks are not dictated by billable hours. Duties and Tasks Grow and supervise a team of 3-4 local government auditors. Coordinate, manage, and review the completion of financial statement audits for local governments. Prepare and maintain audit schedule for team. Allocate tasks and manage workloads to ensure timely completion of projects. Update upper management on workload of your team. Provide support to audit staff on auditing standards to ensure compliance. Travel is minimal and generally consists of mostly day trips and an occasional overnight. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in accounting. Minimum of 5 years of prior working experience in auditing or accounting. Must be able to effectively communicate orally and in writing with office employees and audit clients. Requires successful completion of the hiring process including reference, background, and criminal record checks. Preferred Qualifications Have a professional certification such as CPA, CIA, CFE, or CISA. (Not all of these, we're not looking for a unicorn here). In addition to the required bachelor's degree, have a master's degree or a major in business, management, finance, economics, or related field. Have past management experience.
