This is a Support Staff union position as stated in the Support staff collective bargaining agreement- Grade 12 Specific Duties and Responsibilities Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, posting and reconciling of accounting records, timely submission of monthly, quarterly, and/or annual financial reports, miscellaneous billings/deposits, account allocations, account reconciliations, and unclaimed property filings. OVERALL PURPOSE AND RESPONSIBILITY: The primary and most important overall responsibility of all employees is to provide service in a pleasant, helpful, and effective manner to our students and other members of the College community. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in related field required; degree in Accounting preferred. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree. Experience Required: One (1) to two (2) years of Accounting experience. Skills/Abilities /Knowledge /Other Requirements: Working knowledge of Excel, Word, and Adobe Pro Ability to communicate with internal colleagues and external agencies Must be detail-oriented and have strong financial analytical skills. Time and task management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, take initiative, and meet deadlines. Ability to adapt to changing situations. Additional Information INSTITUTIONAL EFFECTIVENESS: Collaborates with department members and/or the Compliance, Assessment and Research team to support planning, assessment, data collection and reporting for continuous improvement of the college.
