Clinician, Family Treatment Court Job Details Job Location Schenectady-Genium-NPCS - Schenectady, NY Position Type Full Time Salary Range $26.45 - $26.93 Travel Percentage Up to 50% Description Clinician, Family Treatment Court As a Clinician, you will provide home and community-based clinical services with Schenectady Family Treatment Court participants and their family members to help preserve or reunite them in accordance with Northern Rivers Family of Service's stated purpose and mission of protecting children, preserving families and strengthening communities. You will report to the Director of Home and Community-based Services and will work onsite with community-based travel required. Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive evaluations within agreed upon timelines in-person or via Telehealth of parents and children whose cases are accepted into the Family Treatment Court. Make referrals for recommended mental health treatment, perform ongoing case management, and report back to the Family Treatment Court team on the progress of each family member who is receiving mental health services. For individuals not currently working with a provider, partner with a licensed provider and consult with any other relevant providers to whom those individuals are referred to services. Work with substance use disorder treatment providers to ensure that the treatment plan for addressing any identified mental health issues works in conjunction with the treatment plan for addressing the substance use disorder issues. Participate in regular team meetings. Provide strategies to parents whose mental health issues create safety concerns for their children. Provide knowledge and resources to the treatment court team, as well as to parents, regarding children who have mental health diagnoses. Maintain documentation (such as project logs, reports and records in appropriate files and databases) and provide continuous feedback to Family Treatment Court team members regarding participant progress. Assist in collecting and maintaining data as required by Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention. Other duties as assigned. Requirements and Education: Requires a Master's degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling or related filed and at least one year of post-graduate experience. Must have a valid NYS driver's license.
