Vice President (Project Management) for BNP Paribas RCC Inc. in Jersey City, NJ, to function as a Senior Project Manager within to support the DRIVE New Business Solutions team. Participate and contribute to Transaction Approval Committee (TAC), New Activity Committee (NAC), Post Implementation Reviews (PIR), and end-to-end operational studies for Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB) Information Technology Office (ITO). Represent IT and Operations for CIB across business lines and regions, as well as Arbitrage Finance at Global Markets, Global Banking, and ALMT TAC/NAC Committees. Manage and spearhead the assigned operational review for the TAC, NAC, PIR Committees, and End-to-end (E2E) studies. Collaborate with the business management, the TAC/NAC Functions members, and Compliance, Legal, Risks, Operations, IT, Tax, and Finance teams. Assist the business in the design and review of new structures and exceptional trades, and represent ITO and Arbitrage Finance during approval committees within CIB. Develop and maintain a strong relationship with Sales, Structuring, and Trading teams, and act as a Partner with them in designing new trade structures, operational workflows, processes, and procedures to ensure the proposed booking model is fully reviewed and vetted by all functions, including Trade Support, Product Control, Collateral Operations, PAC, RRC, and Tax/GTD/ Finance. Analyze and identify impacts on various functional departments to propose and deliver optimal operational solutions and workflows that satisfy all stakeholders requirements. This includes, but is not limited to, operational processes, such as STP workflows for booking and settlements, front-to-accounting feed, which meet Product Control teams and GM Risks objectives, consistent with Finance normative requirements, as well as any regulatory reporting requirements that apply for the products and activities in scope. Facilitate and organize the coordination with IT, Operations stakeholders, and other Functions partners as necessary and facilitate all communication between the teams with regard to the new product implementation to ensure all parties are involved in the operational review. Prepare and present when necessary a summary of the assigned new products and activities highlighting key deliverables and challenges as part of the team, with Functions partners, Business Management, and TAC Chairmen. Proactively draft the ITO consolidated feedback and opinions, and obtain stakeholders validation prior to submission to OPC for addition to the TAC / NAC memos in advance of the Committees within the required timeframe in line with the CIB TAC/NAC procedures. For TAC/NAC Committees that are organized physically or virtually, provide a synthetic feedback to the Chairmen, highlighting sensitive aspects and any conditions or key points of attention on behalf of ITO and Arbitrage Finance. Analyze current procedures and make change proposals to improve productivity, efficiency, and risk control. Work closely with the Operations and IT managers to measure the impact of new systems and processes on the staff's workload and determine the new staffing requirements where applicable. Work with various users to identify business requirements - from Front Office to Finance. Collaborate with IT to ensure that the system functionalities meet the user requirements. Propose procedural changes to take advantage of the new system functionalities. Facilitate the planning between IT and users to ensure all phases of the project are on track and that the appropriate level of testing is carried out. Requires: Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field plus five (5) years of experience as a Vice President (Project Management) or similar occupation managing products and trade processing flows and settlement processes within an international bank or financial institution or, alternatively, a Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field and three (3) years of experience as a Vice President (Project Management) or similar occupation managing products and trade processing flows and settlement processes within an international bank or financial institution. Specific skills/other requirements - Must also possess the following (quantitative experience requirements not applicable to this section): Demonstrated Expertise (DE) managing front-to-back trade flow processes, including trades capture and trades booking, Profit & Loss matters (daily & monthly), valuation, confirmation/settlement, collateral management, reconciliation, and controls; DE leveraging knowledge of business requirements, process flows, procedures, and GAP analysis to manage projects within an international financial services organization; DE managing all phases of the project lifecycle, from inception to completion; and DE managing internal and external communications with project stakeholder.
