Salary: $124,848.00- $208,080.00 SUMMARY The IT Director of Supply Chain Systems functions as a key contributor to the continuous improvement of both internal and client-facing Supply Chain processes. This position is responsible for leading complex IT projects, directing both on-shore and off-shore teams, creating innovative solutions to challenging problems, presenting or translating complex concepts in a simplified manner and completing other related tasks. The ideal candidate is excellent with communication, organization and management skills and must be able to balance the business needs of senior-level leadership as well as work closely with business users to identify technology and process improvements and opportunities. Engaging with Executives and cross-functional teammates to drive change agendas, individually and as a group Participate in End-to-End Process Mapping Gathering requirements and documenting business processes from key stakeholders Building the transformation and assisting Supply Chain area with the organizational change process Deep understanding of end-to-end Supply Chain Area processes Relentlessly pursue making the company's Supply Chain world class, by driving change and improvements Be the single point of contact for Supply Chain Area ensuring all IT needs are being met Conduct budget analysis/planning/forecasting and contract negotiations while serving as the primary point of contact for Supply Chain technology partners and vendors. This position serves as a pivotal lead in the process of software re-engineering of systems, a leader of systemic analysis and an advocate for the customer in the Supply Chain area. Integration with key business stakeholders to understand workflow processes and business goals will be critical. Gaining understanding from internal customer to determine the changes needed in projects as well as the business acumen to put linkage between projects and the desired business results will be critical. Using technical acumen to collect and analyze data for determining an improvement strategy which focuses on both short and long-term goals. Position can be located in either Buffalo or Schenectady, NY ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Develops and implements IT applications and applications systems analysis and programming activities. Manages IT professionals who design, develop, acquire or adapt application software. Responsible for developing, distributing, supporting, enforcing and integrating best practices and technology standards across the area of focus. Directs, and manages multiple business areas within the IT Department to ensure the development and implementation of cost-effective systems, including but not limited to budget analysis, forecasting and planning. Advises business leadership regarding technology required by the business to support their needs; serving as technology consultant to plan new technology for various departments. Actively support and promote a professionalism that encourages staff participation in the development of standards that is collaborative, mutually respectful, and utilizes current trends and data. Oversees the implementation of technology training programs to ensure effective and efficient use of technology resources by the business areas. Compiles and analyzes data, prepares and presents statistical information on department performance, productivity, activity, and budget for administration. Uses Quality Management methods and techniques to improve performance and processes. Maintain, audit, monitor, and continuously improve security and all IT applications. Review proposals for changes to existing systems submitted by users, management, staff; recommend updates, enhancements, or replacements; assist departments to develop functional needs, prepare budgets, purchase equipment, and manage installation. Plan, schedule, and organize work for group ensuring proper distribution and delegation of assignments and efficient utilization of personnel. Serve as a professional role model and mentor to staff by responding positively to change while supporting colleagues through the change process. Serve as a change agent to facilitate communication and transition that supports the mission of the organization. Maintains knowledge of trends and developments in the field by reading appropriate articles, journals, and related material, and by attending seminars, conferences, and so forth. Identify and implement emerging technologies to enhance supply chain efficiency and effectiveness. Provides direction and develops leadership competencies of current staff through coaching, mentoring, training and performance management. Provides hands on technical support as an escalation point, back up coverage and as needed MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Strong communication skills, including the ability to effectively convey information both verbally and in writing. Ability to acutely manage and prioritize multiple project requests and workstreams, while transparently communicating to stakeholders. Self-starter who can manage multiple tasks simultaneously with minimal supervision. Strong project management and general business skills, including ability to identify and plan for cross-functional impact of work. Demonstrated organizational skills, attention to detail and excellent follow-up skills. Excellent teaming skills and proven ability to work effectively across multiple tams and functional areas. Ability to coordinate work efforts of teammates as needed. Record of planning and implementing large-scale projects involving a variety of technologies. Schedule Requirements On-call availability on nights and weekends is required. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Bachelor's Degree, ideally in a computer science or related field of study 10+ years of related Retail &/or Supply Chain experience. 7+ years, Enterprise IT Work Experience. 5+ years of IT management experience with a proven track record of being able to motivate, rally, and build high performing teams. Experience in budget preparation and management of cost controls. Experience in contract negotiations and vendor-relationship management. Experience of collaborative, ethical and effective management skills. Successful experience with process design, development and testing. The disclosed compensation range for this position is applicable within the state the position resides. The actual base pay offered will consider internal equity and may also vary depending on the candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. The compensation range is one component of Price Chopper/Market 32 and Northeast Shared Services' total compensation and benefits package, which includes, 401(k), 401(k) match, paid time off, comprehensive health benefits, and more.
