MANUFACTURING WELD ENGINEERHiring Criteria: 4 year degree in engineering discipline2+ years with Robotic Mig Welding in Manufacturing environmentAbout the Role: Under the general direction of the Plant Manager, the Weld Engineer is responsible for providing comprehensive support to the welding department. This includes designing weld fixtures, specifying welding processes, programming, and defining equipment specifications. The role supports various welding types, including MIG, TIG, spot, and flash welding, and extends to other aspects of tube fabrication and assembly. The specialist will analyze and resolve quality and process control issues in existing production work and introduce new processes to enhance quality and efficiency.Key Responsibilities:Technical Process and System Management:Design and procure fixtures for the welding department.Improve and document existing welding processes.Diagnose and resolve manufacturing problems.Process Improvement:Recommend and implement process changes to improve quality and efficiency.Optimize the use of space and personnel for maximum efficiency.Production and Maintenance Support:Set up machines and check parts in production.Collaborate with outside vendors.Assist Sales and Project Managers with sales calls and customer pany Goals Support:Maintain professional conduct with superiors, colleagues, and production personnel.Support the maintenance of manufacturing equipment.Ensure product quality meets company standards to prevent damage, loss, or fines.Manage business contacts with internal and external stakeholders, requiring resourcefulness, tact, and knowledge of company policies and procedures.Handle confidential information regarding manufacturing know-how and patents.
