Model Risk Analyst

Position Title: Model Risk Analyst Location: Boston Company: Leading asset management firm Role Overview: We are currently recruiting for a Model Risk Analyst to join an expanding model risk team within a global asset management firm. Reporting to the Director of Investment Risk & Portfolio Analytics, this role will be responsible for conducting model validation and risk assessment for equity, fixed income, and multi-asset portfolios. The ideal candidate will have experience in portfolio analytics, investment risk modeling, and proficiency with risk models such as MSCI and Bloomberg. Key Responsibilities: Perform model validation and risk assessment for equity, fixed income, and multi-asset portfolios. Evaluate the accuracy and effectiveness of risk models, including MSCI and Bloomberg risk models. Collaborate with portfolio managers and risk teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices. Develop and implement quantitative methodologies for analyzing portfolio risk and performance. Provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on model risk assessment findings. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in portfolio analytics and investment risk modeling, preferably in the asset management industry. Proficiency with risk models such as MSCI and Bloomberg; familiarity with CSA (Counterparty Credit Support Annex) is a plus. Strong quantitative skills and experience with statistical analysis and modeling techniques. Excellent understanding of equity, fixed income, and multi-asset investment products and markets. Effective communication skills and ability to articulate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Master's degree or CFA designation is preferred but not required.
