And that makes the biggest difference of all. Job Summary This position is responsible for general maintenance of facilities, buildings, and equipment within the Distribution Center and Annex. The incumbent is also required to perform all tasks in observance of Rite Aid's brand and strategy and adhere to our core values and service attributes. Responsibilities The associate is responsible for the functions below, in addition to other duties as assigned: % TIME • Operate manual battery pullers to change batteries in MHE equipment 20% • Operate manual battery pullers at elevated heights inside of battery rack locations 20% • Perform preventive maintenance to battery pullers, batteries, wash cabinets, and battery racks 20% • Build, repair, and paint various interior and exterior finishes 20% • Perform inspection on regulatory components of the distribution center 20% Qualifications SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position currently has no supervisory responsibilities. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS To perform this job successfully, the associate must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required: Education and/or Experience • H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required. • 2 years of experience in Maintenance, facility maintenance or Construction Field required. Certificates, Licenses, and/or Registrations Language Skills Ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules, general business periodicals, operating and maintenance instructions/procedure manuals. Can speak effectively to customers. Able to type, prepare, copy, file, and keep records. Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Able to compute rate, ratio, and percent, and to draw, and interpret bar graphs. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry and trigonometry. Reasoning Ability Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Freedom to Act Ability to accomplish work with limited direction. Determine and develop approach to solutions. Work is evaluated upon completion to ensure objectives have been met. Problem Complexity and Problem Solving Timeframes Ability to provide resolution to problems that are readily identifiable with limited scope and are resolved in accordance with standard practices, procedures, applications or routines. Problem/Task resolution timeframe: The majority of tasks typically take one to two days to resolve. Impact Failure to achieve results or erroneous judgments may require the allocation of additional resources to correct and / or achieve goals. Contact with Others Contacts are primarily within the department or function with occasional cross-functional interfaces. Some limited external customer contact on routine matters.
