Job Title: Financial Operations Entry Level-Recent College Grad Location: New York, NY Duration: Direct Hire Compensation: $70,000- $90,000 Plus Bonus We are currently seeking an entry level professional to join our Operations team. This role is an integral part of a 4-person team and will report directly to the Director of Operations. This role is responsible for day-to-day operations including trade settlement, margin calls, repo and swap transactions, wire transfers and end of day reconciliations. Qualifications include, but are not limited to: Bachelor's degree in business, Finance or similar 0-2 years of operational experience, specifically in trade support or settlements Familiarity with the financial services industry, specifically fixed Knowledge or exposure to Whole Loans and MBS would be a plus. Candidate must be a highly motivated and process-oriented individual that possesses strong attention to detail, sound judgment and ability to multitask with multiple deadlines. Advance proficiency with MS Excel is a must, as the role will require the production and review of reconciliations and reports. General comfort with technology and a desire to learn the Company's systems is a must. Familiarity with VBA and macro writing and being able to accurately handle proprietary data entry is a plus. The ideal candidate has excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate is comfortable working as both a team player and independently. The ideal candidate is able to adapt quickly and has excellent skills in communication, problem solving, multi-tasking and detail oriented. Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines. The ideal candidate also possesses initiative, flexibility and a desire to explore and understand some of the big-picture concepts relating to the firm's investment. Must be punctual. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Day-to-day operations include trade settlement, margin calls, repo and swap transactions, wire transfers, forecasting and end of day. Regular communication with accounting, traders and portfolio managers, custodian bank and counterparties to address and resolve daily settlements and transactions. The role requires the production and review of reconciliations and reports using. Must have ability to accurately handle proprietary data. Taking ownership of projects, and efficiency/risk-related process Familiarity with TPG and Bloomberg would be a plus. Working collaboratively as a team member, both within the operations department. Compensation: Compensation: Annual base salary is currently projected as $75,000-90,000. Salary ranges are dependent on a variety of factors, including qualifications, and experience. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary performance bonus. Hours: Generally, 9:00 - 6:00pm, Monday - Friday, but can vary depending on deadlines. Due to the nature of our work and system integrations, we have specific deadlines to get the correct cash movement in systems. Location: Current expectations are 3 (#) days a week in the NYC HQ office and 2 days a week from home/remote in the long term. But initially, we require the candidate to come in 4 days a week for at least 1 month while undergoing training from the team. Paid Time Out of the Office: 20 Paid Time Off (PTO) days (prorated for first year of hire). More PTO awarded after tenure threshold is crossed.
