Quality Manager

Job Type Full-time Description The QA Manager - Massachusetts, provides support to the newly acquired Massachusetts manufacturing facility (formerly known as New England Natural Bakers) by working across all departments to ensure the facility, and products it produces, are safe and meet the quality standards of BetterBody Foods. This position reports to the SVP Quality. Essential Job Duties: •SQF Practitioner, PCQI, and Team Lead for HACCP •Supplier review including risk analysis, verification of compliance documents, and requirements of FSVP •Ensure the accuracy and completion of all product specifications •Creation of product specifications and associated production floor documents •Establish food safety criteria for new products •Provide product label claim feedback and basic research for label claims with respect to CFR 21 part 101 •Assist in creating shelf-life studies and product monitoring programs •Creates, modifies, and audits the QMS programs and procedures. •Creates, reviews, and modifies the environmental monitoring programs •Ability to work across departments to establish and achieve common goals and metrics including KPIs and continuous improvement. •Other responsibilities as assigned by supervisor Requirements Basic Qualifications: •Bachelors degree in Microbiology, Food Science or related field •Technical writing and computer skills (Microsoft office suite, ERP software) •Minimum 5 years experience directly managing a GFSI certified program •Highly attentive to details •Self-motivated Preferred Qualifications: •Direct experience with SQF, Non-GMO Project, and Organic certifications. •Experience directly managing people •Statistical process control •Experience working in a cross-functional team to develop and commercial new products Job requirements •Must have own transportation and a valid driver's license •Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and computers •Must be able to be onsite 5 days a week Hours: Monday - Friday 7am - 4 pm on-site 5 days a week Notice: Employment with BetterBody Foods is contingent upon a completed, negative drug test, a clean background check and verification of eligibility to work in the United States as verified through E-Verify.
