Sr Accountant

Our client - a regional CPA firm with offices in midtown NYC - is seeking a Staff Accountant / Accounting Senior knowledgeable in both Tax and Accounting to play a prominent, key role within the overall firm. This role is client facing, where you will consult with small businesses and individuals on various tax & accounting matters. You will become a trusted advisor to our clients as you handle & review client financials & provide guidance; prepare tax returns & tax projections, and more. This CPA firm is very established in Manhattan and has worked with much of their clientele over a 20-year period. Preferred Qualifications 5+ years of experience in a CPA firm at the Accountant level experience with tax software (CCH Axcess Tax and Engagement preferred) QuickBooks Desktop and Online is a plus. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work directly with various firm clients Attention to detail; thorough; analytical Bachelor's degree is required. Master's degree or a CPA candidate preferred. Existing CPA license preferred. Ability to work in-office in NYC up to 4x per week.
