About the Company Hiring: Our client is a growing E-Commerce company with HQ in Buffalo & multiple sites in the U.S. About the Job: The Director of Business Development reports to the CEO, and is responsible for sales strategy, identifying new business opportunities, and managing client relationships. Researching and identifying potential clients, markets, and partnerships to expand the company's reach. Maintaining and nurturing relationships with existing clients while putting an emphasis in developing new ones. Creating and implementing strategies to increase sales and achieve business goals. Market Research: Analyzing market trends and competitors to identify opportunities for growth. Proposal and Contract Negotiation: Preparing proposals, negotiating contract terms, and closing deals. Collaboration: Working closely with the executive team, vendor managers, and other team members to ensure alignment with business objectives. Performance Tracking: Monitoring and reporting on sales performance and business development activities. Minimum Requirements: 10+ years of experience in business development, sales, or a related field. Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field is preferred but not required. Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office. Understanding of retail and eCommerce along with experience in wholesale or distribution is a plus. Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
