Location/Division Specific Information Hillsboro, OR / Materials & Structural Analysis How you will make an impact You will be developing automated alignment and calibration software for dual-beam (scanning electron microscope/focused ion beam) microscopes that enables scientists, engineers and operators to get the best possible performance out of their microscopes. What you will do Develop simulation and testing infrastructure for automated alignment and calibration software for dual-beam microscopes. Collaborate across time zones with software and systems engineers. Participate in the full software development lifecycle from inception to completion including requirements analysis, specification, design, implementation, and testing. Become an advocate for software quality within the team, actively engaging in code reviews, collaborating on architectural decisions, and contributing to the delivery of high-quality software products. Work with other software and engineering teams to understand and anticipate software and hardware integration challenges and understand and adapt existing code to meet those new requirements across a range of products. How you will get here Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or related field. Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities 5+ years of experience as a software engineer in a team environment. Knowledge of various software testing methodologies and strategies for refactoring software projects to improve code coverage and testability. Familiarity with modern software development processes such as continuous integration (CI), continuous deployment (CD), and development operations (DevOps). Experience with the entire software development lifecycle and agile practices such as scrum. Ability to understand new problem domains, originating sound designs, and implementing well-structured code. Analytical and empirical problem solving and debugging skills. Ability to travel domestically and internationally. Proficient with C#, Microsoft Visual Studio. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Blazor, Core, or Python. Familiarity with OpenCV and computer vision. Experience with equipment manufacturing, electron microscopy or semiconductor device fabrication.
