We are seeking a Marketing Manager who will have global responsibility for the growth of innovative products in the Foot & Ankle portfolios. In this critical position, you will lead and develop our talented team of Product Managers, while also owning a product portfolio yourself. You will have global upstream responsibility for product development and downstream responsibility in the U. S. Your primary focus will be on supporting your team and portfolio in the successful global commercialization of products through short- and long-term strategic projects. In driving the growth of your portfolio, you will have great latitude to determine the direction and initiatives you choose to implement. Close collaboration with other talented individuals on our Marketing, Clinical, Sales and Research & Development teams is essential. Your day-to-day activities in this exciting and ever-changing role will include but are not limited to: team development, team engagement, product development, product launch, sales training content creation, customer collateral, surgeon and customer education for products and procedures, sales support, key opinion leader development, product life cycle (PLM) management, and market data analysis. This position has the flexibility to be up-leveled to a Senior Marketing Manager level based on background and experience. What You'll Do: Lead your team in the preparation and execution of comprehensive new product introductions. Manage, coach and develop US Product Management professionals who are responsible for; Collaborating with internal and external resources to monitor, understand, and respond to competitive product performance, branding, messaging, and tactics. Enthusiastically promote the portfolio with customers (sales management, reps & surgeons) at society events, sales meetings and through digital marketing strategies. Leverage their knowledge through the development of marketing collateral, key messages and product training to ensure that US sales team are fully equipped to sell products/solutions. Partner with Sales, Health Care Systems and Supply Chain to guide and support pricing and selling activities to meet sales revenue and operating earnings targets, inventory management and overall product lifecycle support. Partner with global marketing core teams to understand unmet needs and develop a multi year product pipeline as part of the annual strategic planning process. Support new product development teams as the marketing lead responsible for executing the commercial elements of the design control process. Prepare and execute comprehensive product launches. Support Sales Training and Medical Education as the product/market SME to develop content used for educational purposes. Initiate and coordinate product launches, executing activities in collaboration with Clinical, Sales and Research & Development teams Work with Sales, Marketing and financial team members to create and implement pricing/financial programs for new and existing products Develop and update competitive intelligence and establish product positioning, sales force training and education that incorporates competitive intelligence. Partner with the sales team Develop close relationships with key opinion leaders for the benefit of CONMED Responsible for management of assigned expenses within budget What You'll Bring: Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required; MBA preferred 5+ years related experience in successful marketing roles in the medical device industry. Ideal candidate will bring: 2+ years of managing others. Strong knowledge of orthopedics and foot and ankle surgery and anatomy highly preferred Ability to lead and contribute to interdisciplinary teams with demonstrated results Proven ability to execute projects within timeline and budget Demonstrated strong organizational and communication skills Demonstrated ability to build relationships with sales teams and physicians Thorough knowledge of relevant anatomy, surgical procedures and clinical needs Thorough knowledge of surgeon and sales education process Travel up to 60% of the time (including some weekends).
