(Remote) Underwriting Manager

Key Responsibilities: Coordinate underwriting staff activities to insure timely/consistent decisions Referral/mentor for underwriting team Perform ongoing audits to ensure quality of decisions and processes Perform underwriting support for eFinancial as well as outside distribution Liaison with third party underwriter groups Back up for Chief UW when not available Research and Development as required for reporting purposes Qualifications: 5+ years of management experience 10+ years of underwriting experience BA/BS or equivalent required Professional courses (LOMA, FALU, CLU, etc.) preferred Strong life underwriting background with managerial experience Worksite or group underwriting experience is a plus Skills: Organizational and interpersonal skills Ability to apply sound underwriting principles in highly professional manner Effective and diplomatic oral and written communication skills Ability to independently complete research and development projects Proficient with Microsoft Office and other software programs Essential Functions: This section outlines the physical expectations of a job to ensure clear and fair hiring practices and to accommodate candidates with potential disabilities.
