Please be sure to submit a current resume when applying for this position POSITION SUMMARY The Portfolio Analyst and Fund Accountant, supports the operation of the GC Investment Office (GCIO) and all of its functions. The key functions will be to provide accounting and analytical support for the management of the GC Unitized Funds, the GC Money Fund and Investor Portfolios. Provide analytical support for fund management, investors portfolios and management. COMPENSATION Full-time exempt position with benefits Remuneration Range: 87-100% ($81k - $93k annually) BENEFITS Salary employees receive comprehensive benefits packages, including health insurance, paid time off, and retirement savings plans, etc. ESENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Works with the Manager of Investor Relations on Client portfolio analysis and reporting Analyze investor portfolios to help improve performance, risk management and other outcomes and guide investors as necessary. Develop a system or process for managing investor portfolio information to help the GCIO to be proactive and organized for client portfolio analysis and reporting. Provide support to clients and respond to inquiries. Supports the accounting and fund management team by data input, calculation of net asset values, production of periodic financial reporting and completion of annual reports. Ensures the accuracy of the portfolio accounting. Create and distribute the monthly statements for clients. Conduct analysis of funds Analytical support for developing investment strategies and portfolio management. Conduct analysis to assist in the management of investment funds and in the development and execution of investment strategies. Participate in call with investment managers and market analysts to provide input for management of the investment funds. Prepare commentary and analysis of the economy and markets for various audiences. Engage in administrative support for the investment office such as supporting the daily activities and ongoing projects and initiatives. Performs assigned duties in harmony with departmental guidelines and timelines. Must be a member in regular standing of the Seventh-day Adventist Church Must maintain a regular and reliable work schedule. Other duties as may be assigned. QUALIFICATIONS Education and Experience Bachelor's (BA/BS) degree in accounting, business or equivalent required. At least three to five years of relevant successful experience required. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred. CPA-candidate will be eligible for promotion to Senior Systems Accountant when certification is achieved. Denominational experience strongly preferred. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Knowledge of principles, policies and beliefs of the General Conference and the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Requires well developed knowledge of church employment policies and practices. Must exhibit extensive initiative; works with minimal supervision. Adaptable and able to evaluate priorities. Ability to perform accounting duties in an efficient and accurate manner. Knowledge of up-to-date accounting and office procedures such as filing, telephone techniques, office equipment (including MS Word, Outlook, and Excel), and fluent in English language usage (including speaking, spelling, grammar, punctuation, etc.). Position requires high productivity and accuracy. Must be able to facilitate good communications among departmental staff, other departments, and outside personnel.
