KWalk Kids is a local pediatric physical therapy, occupational therapy and wellness company that serves patients in San Diego County- in-home, online through virtual consultation and in the community at parks, beaches, playgrounds & more. Our mission is to help children and families through all stages of development, by empowering families to help their children through hands-on skills, routine-based interventions and purposeful play. We are currently seeking a part time or full time occupational therapist (with the opportunity to expand to full time if desired,) who has good time management skills and is enthusiastic, compassionate, empathetic, organized, professional, excited to learn, and passionate about helping children and their families. Must be available for a minimum of 10 patients per week. Primary patient population is early intervention (birth- age 3). We believe in family-centered care, and the importance of working collaboratively to create goals and a treatment plan. You would create your own desirable schedule and coordinate meeting families in their home or community. We currently travel to Central San Diego, Coastal San Diego, Southern San Diego and La Mesa/East County. We offer training, mentorship and a supportive environment for our clinicians. Qualifications: Licensed occupational therapist in the state of CA that is passionate about the pediatric population and enthusiastic about learning and growing your knowledge base to best serve your patients. 2 years of pediatric experience preferred. Prefer individuals with experience working with babies and children with feeding and sensory processing challenges. Maintain current BLS CPR certification. Current, valid and reliable transportation, auto insurance and driver's license. Strong communication, time management, organizational and interpersonal skills. Love playing (& working) with babies, children and their families. Available at least 10 hours/week, with ability to work up to a full caseload (if desired). Responsibilities Provide occupational therapy evaluations and ongoing treatment, strong emphasis on the early intervention population (birth-3 years old) Complete accurate documentation in a timely manner (evaluations/progress notes within 1 week, daily notes by the end of each month) Communicates with patients and families regarding evaluation results, goals and treatment plan Provide patient education, parent training and recommendations to support progress outside of PT sessions Help grow the practice via building programs within the community and assisting with social media and marketing (part time & full time positions only) Make your own desirable schedule- if preferred, support can be provided in this area Benefits (all positions- contract, part time, full time) Competitive rates, based on experience Flexible schedule- create your own schedule Complete all daily notes within the therapy session Direct deposit Excellent support A boss that is invested in your personal and professional development A positive environment that fosters positivity and a work/life balance Additional Benefits- Part Time/Full Time Stipends for health insurance, mileage/travel, cell phone/internet Reimbursement for continuing education, supplies and toys Retirement matching and 50% of AOTA dues after 1 year of employment Worker's compensation coverage & malpractice insurance for patients seen through KWalk Kids For part time: $65-$85 per 1 hour visit, 2 hours of pay per initial eval.
