**Job Title: Assembly Technician [Organization: Sensit Technologies LLC **Department: Production Reports to: Production Manager Location: 1150 Loudermilk Lane, Valparaiso, IN 46383 Employment Type: Full-time / Hourly Position Overview: The Assembly Technician is responsible for the end-to-end assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of handheld gas leak detection devices. This role ensures that products are built to company standards, meet all quality and safety requirements, and adhere to ISO-certified procedures. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, capable of following precise assembly instructions, and committed to continuous improvement in quality and process efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Assembly ]{calibri",sans-serif"=""} * * Perform assembly operations on handheld gas leak detectors by following detailed work instructions, technical drawings, and schematics. Use hand tools, soldering equipment, and small parts to assemble the product to exact specifications. Ensure all components are installed correctly and secured Testing and Troubleshooting Diagnose and troubleshoot assembly and performance issues, making necessary adjustments or repairs. Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve recurring issues and optimize processes. Quality Assurance Conduct quality inspections at various stages of the assembly process, ensuring each product meets company and regulatory standards. Document assembly activities, test results, and any defects found during testing or assembly. Process and Safety Compliance Follow ISO-certified manufacturing processes and adhere to all safety guidelines. Maintain a clean and organized workstation to promote efficiency and safety. Participate in periodic ISO audits and continuous improvement initiatives. Team Collaboration Work closely with fellow assemblers, engineers, and quality assurance staff to ensure smooth production flow. Communicate effectively with supervisors and cross-functional teams regarding production status, equipment needs, and improvement opportunities. Required Skills and Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in electronics or assembly is a plus. 1+ years of experience in an assembly or manufacturing environment, preferably in electronics or small devices. Proficiency with hand tools, soldering, and testing equipment. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.
