The Role The successful candidate will supervise production activities in the Operations area, including all activities around the bottle, cannisters, drum, IBC, and ISO filling lines. This person will be responsible for ensuring safety and operations policies are followed while facilitating daily communications with other operational departments, commercial, engineering, maintenance, lab, and other groups as needed. External US: Key responsibilities for this role include: Supervise plant operations and train employees to maintain their qualifications Supervise and lead multiple shifts and processes SAP transactions for inventory Quality related tasks (SOPs, data control) Scheduling employees to cover MFG timetables/goals Generate Maintenance WOs in SAP Coordinate with Maintenance Manager or Maintenance Tech coverage, repairs, Preventative Maintenance, and spare part needs Collaborates with Engineering on the design and implementation scope for automation, new equipment, equipment replacement, or other related department projects. Works with Engineering/Maintenance on implementation timelines to best coincide with Production activities. Support CIP items as assigned Support planning and execution of plant start-up and operations Modify/create SOP for above operations Coordination of production schedules, equipment issues, customer requests, and MOC items Coordinate with engineering and quality on Calibration program. Communication with employees regarding production schedules, timelines, and projects Coordination with plant Management on issues regarding safety, quality, HR Coordination with Warehousing on in/out-bound material Coordination with Engineering to complete punch list items, review equipment issues, complete projects, etc. Accounting review to ensure proper SAP transactions and maintain accurate inventory through counts Maintain ISO/OHSAS certification by working closely with Engineering and Manufacturing Technicians to ensure compliance to quality Serve as the main point of contact for floor audits Ensure 5S completion on each shift Other duties as assigned REQUIREMENTS A minimum of a BS in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or other related technical degree and 4 years of applicable industry experience with 2 years in a leadership position is preferred. We will also consider an AS technical degree with 8 years of applicable industry experience with 4 years in a leadership position or a High School Diploma/GED with 10 years of applicable industry experience including 6 years in a leadership position. Demonstrated leadership skills and abilities through people leadership and/or project management Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs., stoop, bend, climb and reach Ability to work alternative hours to lead multiple shifts Ability to enhance employee and customer satisfaction Knowledge of continual improvement in plant processes. Experience with specialty chemicals and/or batch processing preferred. Experience dealing with customer facing teams; customer service focus including diplomatic communications skills; problem solver. Experience in emergency response activities; response and incident command system knowledge Strong digital literacy including ability to use MS Office suite, various email media, internet, intranet, SAP, and other such programs Excellent communications skills, oral and written; ability to successfully handle social as well as business interactions with all levels of customers personnel; diplomacy skills This is a safety-sensitive position that requires candidates to successfully pass a post-offer drug screening prior to employment. PAY RANGE: The pay range for this role is estimated at $80,000/yr - $100,000/yr with actual wage based on candidates qualifications and experience.
