Job Description Job Description About The Organization Community Building Strategies (CBS) is a consulting firm based in Ohio that provides strategic and operational support to Non Profit organizations, donors, and businesses who are working to advance social, economic, and racial justice causes. About The Role The Accounting Supervisor reports to the Chief Financial Officer and will assist in managing the general ledger accounts and business transactions of the organization and the organization's clients. What You'll Do Process payroll for multiple companies on a bi-weekly basis, as well as, establish and maintain payroll tax accounts across multiple organizations. Perform and/or review receivables and payables across all organizations, including invoicing, correspondence and maintaining proper documentation. Perform necessary procedures for maintaining intercompany accounts, including spreadsheets, documentations, and adjusting journal entries. Assist with annual compilations, reviews, and audits with outside accounting firms for various organizations. Manage the daily, monthly and year-end operations of the accounting department. Identify process improvement opportunities and collaborate with others to design and implement solutions. Perform duties involving registering in new states to conduct business in and registering with the appropriate tax entities as needed. Maintain proper records for multiple organizations in accordance with Company policies and procedures. Perform various projects such as research, special projects & analysis as needed. Skills We're Seeking BS in accounting with 5+ years of experience in a related position that demonstrated the required skills. Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure, ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize and manage work under tight deadlines. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong professional ethics and sensitivity in dealing with confidential issues. Demonstrated ability to use tact and diplomacy when dealing with sensitive issues. Excellent communication, strong writing, and analytical skills. Demonstrated comfort and aptitude with computer applications including but not limited to Google Suite, Microsoft Suite, Bill, and QuickBooks. Proactive and eager to learn. Salary/Benefits $80,000-$85,000 depending on skills and experience.
