Software Engineer

Chainalysis, Inc. has an opening for a Software Engineer (SWE1011) in New York, NY. Details are as follows: JOB DUTIES:Modify Chainalysis's existing software to correct errors, allowing it to adapt to new user requirements, or to improve its performance using modern programming languages such as Java and Python. Develop software methodology in an agile environment and provide ongoing maintenance, support and enhancements in existing systems and platforms using Spring Boot and Java. Design, develop and modify software systems, using scientific analysis and risk models to create compliance alerts that fit user needs. Analyze, design and develop tests and test-automation suites for Chainalysis' proprietary SaaS software suite using selenium for UI and Java for web APL. Analyze the software for code smells and code quality using SonarQube. Perform code reviews for quality and consistency. Perform code releases using various configuration management technologies such as Jenkins, Maven, etc. Participate in scrum ceremonies such as daily standups, grooming and planning meetings to collaborate with other team members. Design, configure and manage database scripts to optimize performance of database transactions.POSITION REQUIREMENTS:Minimum Requirements: Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline, or foreign equivalent, and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or in a closely related position.Special Requirements: Experience must include each of the following: •Two (2) years of Java or other object-oriented programming language•Two (2) years of PostgreSQL or other relational database•Six (6) months of AWS or other cloud provider•Six (6) months of Spring or other web application framework•Six (6) months of Kafka or other message broker systemsWORKSITE: 114 5th Avenue, Floor 19, New York NY 10011 and Telecommuting accepted from anywhere in the United States. The salary range for this position is $123,656 - $200,070.
