Quality Manager

This role will be located at our Knoxville, Tennessee facility. Role Overview: The Quality Manager will be responsible for overseeing the quality manufacturing processes to make sure the products produced meet quality standards and customers' expectations. The Quality Manager will implement, monitor, and improve the quality of the external parts business QMS and related operational processes and outputs. This position offers a unique opportunity to join a world-class AM team and impact the quality system and processes. Responsibilities include the following: Developing and implementing quality standards Developing and implementing quality control system Monitoring and analyzing quality performance Inspecting and testing materials, equipment, processes, and products to ensure quality specifications are met Collaborating with operations managers and engineers to develop and implement controls and improvements Ensuring that workflows, processes, and products comply with safety regulations Investigating and troubleshooting product or production issues Developing corrective actions, solutions, and improvements Reviewing codes, specifications, and processes Managing all personnel within the quality department Managing all auditing activities. (Customers, 3rd parties, certification organization, etc.) Active team leader, engaging teammates in discussions on quality and improvements even in a time with no active quality escapes Required Qualifications: A Bachelor of Science Degree in Aerospace, industrial, or mechanical engineering or relevant experience 10+ years of experience in quality engineering, quality assurance, or a similar role in a manufacturing background 5+ years of management experience Strong background with AS9100 and ISO9001 systems ASQ certification preferred Experience in the Aviation/Aerospace or Automotive industry Experience with using QA software tools and processes Strong communication and interpersonal skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills You will find this position very satisfying if you have a(n): Roll up your sleeves attitude Methodical and systematic approach Teamwork centric orientation Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with some ambiguity Passion about your work and look forward to bringing great contributions to the team Have experience working in a start-up or small to medium size company Generally positive and optimistic approach to most challenges If this sounds like you, please submit an application with your resume.
