Essential Duties: Develops and implements strategic sales plans to accommodate facility goals. Directs sales forecasting activities and sets performance goals accordingly. Reviews market analyses to determine customer needs, price schedules, and discount rates. Directs sales activity and coordinates sales distribution by establishing sales territories, quotas, and goals. Directs personnel representation with Plant Manager at trade association meetings to promote products. Delivers sales presentations and marketing literature to key clients in coordination with sales representatives. Meets with key clients, assisting sales representatives with maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals. Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers. Understand their needs and ensure excellent customer service. Resolve customer complaints or issues promptly and effectively. Coordinates liaison between the sales department and production teams. Prepares periodic sales reports showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion. Monitors and evaluates the activities and products of the competition. Leads weekly sales meetings and reports sales activity to management. Responsible for Customer Product Reviews and determining what percentage of our offering lineup each customer buys. Pricing, including weekly adjustments to stay competitive or to take advantage of certain markets or product lines that can bear an increase. Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree (B. S.) from a four-year college or university and three to five (3-5) years related experience in the lumber industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
