The Behavioral Health Counselor delivers direct behavioral health services to Asylee and Refugee populations in various settings such as homes, clinics, and field environments. Responsibilities include conducting individual and group therapy sessions, as well as providing case management services. The counselor ensures that services are culturally relevant and sensitive during delivery. Responsibilities: Provide culturally sensitive, client-centered individual, group, and family counseling and rehabilitation services to asylees and refugees. Facilitate referrals to community resources and perform case management services. Develop culturally relevant assessment and treatment plans. Complete all documentation per Medi-Cal, Santa Clara County standards within expected deadlines. Participate in clinical supervisions, consultations, team meetings, trainings, and on-call after hours rotation. Complete and maintain LPS 5150 Authorization certification and provide officer of the day support. Complete other related duties and projects as assigned. Requirements: Licensed in California as a Marriage Family Therapist, Social Worker, Professional Clinical Counselor, or Psychologist. Master's degree in social work or psychology; or equivalent education, training, and experience. One year or more of direct clinical experience working with working with refugees.
