Overview: The Culinary Administrator is a part time position responsible for assisting the Office Manager and Executive Chef with administrative tasks within the culinary department at The Palm Beach County Convention Center.This position requires the ability to work weekdays and weekends, with availability for some mornings, noon, and evenings shifts on an on-call/event based schedule. This position pays a flat hourly pay rate of $15/hr. This position provides approximately 15 hours of work per week. Benefits for PT roles: 401(k) savings plan and 401(k) matching. Also, OVG provides part-time, seasonal, and internship employees with one hour of accrued paid leave per 30 hours worked, up to 48 hours per year. This position will remain open until Sept 30, 2024 Responsibilities: Assist in managing Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) for the culinary department, including regular updates to the BEO production bulletin board and individual BEO records for the Executive Chef, Executive Sous Chef, and Executive Steward Supervisor, incorporating new BEOs, amendments, and additional requests. Contribute to the oversight of food and labor cost management. Support monthly inventory processes and control. Manage updates to inventory pricing on a monthly basis. Supervise and manage perpetual inventory levels alongside the Warehouse & Inventory Associate. Oversee the Purchase Order (PO) system for the culinary department. Coordinate scheduling and communicate deadlines through the WhenIWork application for all kitchen personnel. Conduct daily audits of ADP time sheets to ensure accurate timekeeping for culinary staff. Ensure adherence to break compliance regulations among culinary team members. Actively participate as a team player, focusing on the efficient preparation, high-quality service, and timely delivery of products. Maintain exemplary attendance standards in accordance with company policies. Qualifications: Ability to demonstrate exceptional organizational skills. Ability to speak, read and write in English. Ability to speak Spanish is welcomed. Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment. Possess valid food handling certificate if required by state and federal regulations.
