Centralized data, readily accessible support, and collaboration between the laboratory and ordering provider reduce the time to a patient's diagnosis and caregiver in this position works 7:30am - 4pm.The person in this role will travel on a daily basis to physician offices to lead our phlebotomists. Travel will include the Cleveland, Akron, Youngstown, and Columbus areas.A caregiver who excels in this role will:Have prior phlebotomy experience and leadership experienceProvide guidance and technical oversight of a work group in phlebotomy teract with department supervision and site leadership to maintain staffing, service levels, quality and performance. Implement and comply with safety procedures and regulations. Comply with department and institute financial targets.Facilitates team meetings, ensure proper staffing and workload levels, participate in the hiring process, onboard and train new caregivers, conduct evaluations and corrective actions, and escalate complex problems to a supervisor. Investigate and resolve routine operational problems and patient issues.Drive local root cause analysis and implementation of improvements and counter measures.Lead departmental projects.Provide response to local quality concerns and inform critical issues to senior management.Drive front line employee engagement and recognition.Facilitate development of lead techs.Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:Associate's degree and three years of laboratory experience OR a high school diploma/GED and five years of experience. Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:Bachelor's degree in business administration, healthcare administration or a related field. This may substitute one year of required experience.
