Production Manager

Job Title: Production Manager Reports To: VP of Operations Salary Range: $95k to $110k Bonus: 10% annual bonus Relocation: No Job Summary As the site leader reporting to the Vice President of Operations, he/she is accountable for all activity at the facility. He/she will be responsible for building and maintaining an engaged workforce and effectively leading the team by thoroughly communicating expectations and holding employees accountable to achieve established goals in Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Inventory. Essential Duties In collaboration with corporate resources, the Production Manager will be responsible for holding regular review meetings with senior leaders and all employees, to drive improvements in the following focus areas: SafetyEnsure strict adherence to Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) policies and Thorough understanding of safety and health laws, regulations, and Coordinating and holding required safety Audit for and address unsafe behaviors and conditions. QualityEnsure that the manufacturing principles coincide with the companys vision, mission, and priorities. Promote a culture of continuous improvement driven by the PSI Total Quality Management (TQM) System. Coordinate setup and implement operating procedures for all production activities. Ensuring the workforce can explain and execute the SOPs set forth by upper management. Implement, enforce, and analyze quality control and tracking programs to meet quality objectives and correct issues. Help set the quality standards for new products and ensure all specification documents are available and accurate. Productivity/ ScheduleSupport the development and execution of the yearly manufacturing plan to reach the business objectives related to production safety, quality, cost, capacity planning, and Learn the operations of each job duty inclusive of how the equipment works and be able to assist in troubleshooting. Collaborate with Planning and Scheduling to develop the sites production schedule, and then direct and oversee the production to ensure products are produced efficiently, on-time within budget and to established quality standards. Understand current efficiency and develop action plan to hit the goal of 89%. Determine and manage human and material resources to meet production targets. Develop, implement, and track compliance to site expense budgets. Control key cost elements to ensure achievement of budget spending goals. Support the development, implementation and execution of Lean tools and principles. Develop and track improvement in efficiency rates by continuously training staff using the cross-training charts. Continually evaluates current equipment condition to ensure it is in good repair with proper maintenance and replacement parts installed or on order. Employee EngagementEstablish trust and rapport with all employees through frequent communication, feedback and follow through; and identify ways to continually foster and promote a positive work environment. Develop and document training plans to ensure employees are trained and in compliance with all procedures; guide, motivate, coach and counsel to improve results, and conduct ongoing performance appraisals. FacilityResponsible for ensuring maintenance, functionality, and continuous improvement of entire facility. Experience and knowledge of Lean Daily Management principles preferred. Demonstrated management of Key Performance Indicators and driving daily results:Safety Efficiency Attendance Quality Shipping Demonstrated experience hiring/training/coaching employees and performance management. Demonstrated ability to work both tactically and strategically (work high and work low) Basic computer skills in Excel, Word, Power Point and MS Project Demonstrated leadership capabilities, critical thinking and problems solving techniques is a must. Self-driven and accountable with attention to detail and accuracy, experience with time management and organizational skills Must embrace and foster an environment that supports companys Mission, Vision, and Values. Education and Experience Production Manager will have a degree in business management, engineering, or business administration, or equivalent (10 years) proven work experience in a production environment to qualify for the position.
