Description: The Trade Capture modernization team is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Java Full Stack Engineer to join our team. You will be responsible for developing cloud native applications for mission critical financial systems. You will follow 12 factor cloud principles and adopt lean Agile software development practices. The role will require you to be hands-on and work across a broad spectrum of technologies, collaborating with engineering and business teams. As a Principal Engineer, you will demonstrate initiative, problem solving and ownership, bring attention to detail and be responsible for mentoring junior members in your team. Responsibilities: Self-starter who can pick up new technologies, be comfortable with ambiguity and drive initiatives forward. Ability to design and develop application solutions with operational concerns in mind, including non-functional requirements such as availability, scalability, security and resiliency. Implement solutions that run on Private and Public Clouds. Collaborate with Devops teams to build CI/CD pipelines needed to deploy application code and streamline deployment processes. Respond to security findings identified by the security teams, implementing remediation measures to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with industry standards. Mentor junior team members on cloud architecture principles, best practices and emerging technologies. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience. 10+ years of experience in core application development and implementing end to end solutions. Preferred Skills: Strong background in object-oriented/functional programming with special focus on Java. Strong knowledge of Java web applications, microservices and modern Spring Frameworks (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud Services, Spring Security, etc.) Experience in Test Driven Development (TDD) with emphasis on Shift-Left and hands on experience in developing tests using Junit, Mockito, Cucumber, Selenium etc. Experience developing continuous delivery and continuous deployment pipelines for Java applications using GitHub Actions/Concourse/Jenkins/Gradle Experience with containerization and container orchestration technologies (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes) Experience with RDBMS and No SQL database design and development Experience with modern web application frameworks (Angular, ReactJS, JavaScript etc.) Prior experience with any PaaS solutions like Tanzu/Pivotal Cloud Foundry is a plus. Experience with messaging tools like RabbitMQ, Kafka, MQ and Solace. Comfortable with IDEs like Eclipse, IntelliJ IDEA, etc. Experience implementing applications for Public Cloud (Azure etc.) is a plus. Have good understanding of the SCRUM or XP agile processes.
